Lil' Momo left today... I have to room all to myself... it's good... but not really... I'm hoping that I can semi-pass my Introduction to American Literature final considering we have short answers on EVERY story we've read -- that's over fifty... My professor is nuts!... I finished my sociology final paper earlier than I thought I would... at like 1pm today... I gotta remember to drop it off... I think I gave up on American Lit.... I remember some stories... but they are very vague... and I don't think I could remember all the authors... much less even remember the titles... I wish he would just make it multiple choice -- it would make the world a better place :P Oh, ya.... He wants us to write THREE essays in class, and cite quotations and specific examples from the stories... He's crazy!! We only have like 2 1/2 hrs for the test... sometimes... just sometimes... professors are INSANE... I've been drinking too much coffee and it's killing me!!! I feel so hyper one minute and I die the next... it's funny... Wells... we'll see what happens at the test tonight.... OY!

Well... I'm going crazy with these logs... they are just so much fun! Wellz.. I'll fool around with it laterz... lates y'all... I have yet another final tomorrow morning -- 9:20am this time... not bad at all... practicing for the final exam would have been a good idea... 1 final down, 2 finals to go, 1 paper to write... Still... I am still enjoying the hell out of college...

So... Right now... at this moment... there is a major theatre study session going on in our room... Not that I'm in the theatre class... teehee... my roomie is... along with a few of our friends -- Bill, Josh, Jason, and Libby... Libby is the sweetest person I've met yet (except of course, for my roomie) ... Jason, Bill and Josh are pretty awesome guys... Jason is funny as hell... Bill swims... a lot... he's funny and nice too... Josh is a music major... he plays the piano... he is an incredible musician... he's a nice guy as well... I've met so many nice guys... it's ridiculous!! Hahaha.... Well... That's it for now...

So... Today is the first official day of blogs. I tend to babble a lot... so forgive my nonsensical ramblings. Last night was the best night \EVER/ in the history of this hall. We did Secret Santa and my Secret Santa -- Steph -- got me the best presents \EVER/ -- Harry Potter stuff!! I don't think I can remember a time when I've received so many gifts for Christmas!
Well... a little intro... I'm a first year at IC. I feel incredibly fortunate that I was able to participate in the FYS(freshman year seminar)in residence -- almost everyone in the seminar lives on the first floor of Lyon Hall. It's an incredible experience living and bonding with everyone in our hall. Despite the drama that seems to permeate our hall, I can honestly say that I love all of my hallmates. I enjoy everyone's quirkiness and uniqueness. I count my lucky stars when I think about how I have the greatest roomie \EVER/. Sure, sure... you think that this might all change someday, but I hope it's not anytime soon. Anyone that can live with ME as a roomie, is on hell of a person. The people who know me would completely agree with me.
Hmm... Getting to know new people is one of the best things that anyone can do. I know only one person here that's from my high school, so I have been in the process of getting to know a myriad of people here. Not that you can't do that in a setting closer to home, but it seems more adventurous and exciting since I'm more than 3000 miles away from home! Dorm life is an experience that should not be missed.
Anywho... this is all for now...

Monday, December 16, 2002 1:19am : (This is from last night/early this morning) Today... was the best day \EVER/ !!! Our side of the hall decided to do Secret Santa -- Steph, and my Secret Santa gave me the greatest presents -- Harry Potter stuff!!! I love it. I can honestly say that despite the drama that seems to be a constant undercurrent in our hallway, I love my hall, especially our side of the hallway... I can't imagine being anywhere else. I feel lucky to have been placed in this hall -- I know it's because I was in the FYS (Freshman Year Seminar) in residence, but not all of us are in the seminar, and I love them ALL! I count my lucky stars when I think about having the best roomie \EVER/ !!! I think that today has been an excellent show of procrastination on my part... I have yet to study for my 7:30AM French final tomorrow -- my first college final \EVER/ !!
